Does Nimbus work with my panel (Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, etc.)?
Almost certainly. It covers the vast majority of addressable panels, Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, Gent, Morley, C-Tec XFP among them. Very old or proprietary models can be more of a challenge, but we'll confirm compatibility before anything gets signed off.

What's the hardware vs subscription pricing?
You will pay a one-off hardware cost, then an ongoing subscription. Trade and volume pricing apply, so if you've got multiple sites in mind it's genuinely worth a chat.

How is my subscription billed / when does it start?
Your subscription is tied to your device. Twelve months to start, then monthly rolling. Direct debit is the norm, though annual invoicing works too if you'd rather, with a small admin fee on top.

Can Nimbus integrate with our job management system (Uptick, Simpro, Installer Pro)?
Some integrations are already live, others are in development. Where a direct integration isn't available yet, CSV and Excel export keeps things moving. Uptick and Simpro are the current priorities.

What does installation and connectivity look like (4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet)?
Nimbus Connect goes into the panel's RS-232/printer port. 4G eSIM is the main connection, Wi-Fi or Ethernet as backup. Powered off the panel's 24V supply, or an external PSU if needed.

Can one engineer do the zone verification alone?
Yes, one engineer can handle it. The portable tool gives live panel verification, so they can test devices and confirm the right device and zone without a second pair of hands. Every pass needs the device physically activated, which means the evidence holds up.

How do we handle conventional systems and non-addressable assets?
Conventional devices are managed through manual asset lists or QR/barcode tagging. If you want extinguishers, emergency lights and similar assets tracked in the same portal, the Asset Management add-on covers that.

How do reports and remedial quoting work?
Once the visit is complete, a service summary is automatically emailed across with any failures, advisories, part numbers and photos attached. Everything's there to put a quote together without having to call the engineer.

Who owns the data and how secure is it?
You own all of your data. Stored on AWS, kept indefinitely, audit trail that can't be tampered with. If IT want to dig into the detail, the documentation's there.

What training and onboarding are provided?
We offer remote sessions if you want to keep it simple, or we can come on-site and run training during a live job, which tends to stick better. Either way, setup, portal branding and config support are included.
