Chesterford Research Park, a leading hi-tech campus on the outskirts of Saffron Walden near Cambridge has installed six innovative Nimbus remote fire alarm management units on fire alarm systems across the site with a further seven units to be deployed in the coming weeks.

With its state-of-the-art facilities, Chesterford provides an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and ground-breaking discoveries by its occupiers within the beautiful surroundings of the rural park. The Building Managers, Cushman & Wakefield, acting within their role to manage the site infrastructure commissioned Smart Managed Solutions to replace Fire Alarm systems across the Park whilst improving the systems remote communications. Through a collaborative working C&W and Smart undertook a thorough market review of the available systems, and suitable installers, appointing Gem Fire Solutions, under Smart’s project management team to install the new Nimbus Fixed Gateway units as the remote communications system. The goal being to simplify fire system monitoring, testing and maintenance.
